Reviews for Dudleys
Review highlights
Based on 1,721 reviewsDudleys is widely praised for its exceptional brunch offerings, particularly standout dishes like ricotta hotcakes and eggs Benedict. Patrons frequently highlight the food’s quality and seasoning as key strengths. The restaurant’s cozy, bustling ambiance, complemented by friendly staff, creates a welcoming atmosphere despite the relatively small seating area and closely arranged tables. Service is generally attentive, though it can slow during busy periods such as weekend brunches. Outdoor seating adds to the charm, appealing to those looking for a lively spot in the Lower East Side. Overall, Dudleys is regarded as a must-visit destination for flavorful, well-prepared brunch in a casual yet vibrant setting.
walked in for sunday brunch with no reservation and was seated right away since we opted for the high top seating. service was on slower side, which makes sense since it was sunday brunch. staff was friendly, though. very bustling. the ambiance was nothing noteworthy; cute and simple. food was phenomenal, though. we ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes & the eggs Benedict and both were to die for. the eggs were nice and runny and were laid on top of a perfectly crisp not overly greasy couple of pieces of crunchy bacon. both were seeded over this sort of potato hash brown which was nice and crunchy in texture on the outside and hot and soft on the inside. the pancakes were seeded with a side of nutella and syrup. and oh man were they FLUFFY! so good and sweet yet not overly rich.
Amazing food. Cozy Ambience. Everything I would look for in a complete brunch. We ordered the chicken schnitzel, shrimp linguine, Dudley’s burger and ricotta hotcakes. Everything was exceptional and well seasoned. My friend doesn’t have a sweet tooth but he thoroughly enjoyed the Ricotta hotcakes. Definitely worth the price. A must-try place if you are in Chinatown looking for a good brunch spot.
Best pancakes (ricotta hotcakes) I have ever had, and the hash brown in the eggs Benedict were also incredible. We were supposed to wait for long, but they sat us at bar where we could start ordering and then moved us to a table. The staff were wonderful.
Went with my husband on a Tuesday morning around 10:45am. We didn't make any prior reservations, we found this restaurant while searching for a breakfast spot on Google maps because we were in the area. The place is cute but small, as are most NYC restaurants. The tables are rather close together so it's hard to squeeze through them with coats on. We were seated at the corner by the back wall. It's dimly lit for a cozy vibe, nice during day time, not sure if it would be too dark after the sun sets. We both ordered their maple cinnamon latte's hot. Even though we ordered the drinks hot, they arrived in a small drinking glass which I assume they were doing for aesthetic reasons but it wasn't practical as the glass was too hot to hold and drink from. A ceramic coffee cup or mug would've been better and could be just as cute. Ordered the ricotta pancakes, shrimp linguine, egg breakfast sandwich with add-on bacon, and a side of fries. The ricotta pancakes don't automatically come with fresh fruit because our server asked us if we would like it on top. My husband requested an add-on of bacon with his breakfast sandwich. He enjoyed the sandwich and said the bacon was nice and crispy, the sandwich overall was light but flavorful and he would recommend it. The ricotta pancakes with the fresh fruit were delicious! Super moist thanks to the ricotta, and it came with a side of maple syrup in a little pour over cup, and a small serving of nutella on the side as well. The fries were really good as well, nice and crispy, not soggy, paired with a truffle aioli, it was definitely my favorite shareable dish. The shrimp linguine was fantastic and our server commented that it was definitely a popular dish and I can see why. The pasta was cooked al dente, shrimp was bouncy and cooked perfectly, the sauce was creamy but not oily or overly heavy. Overall, a great portion for a lunch pasta. The servers and staff were super nice and sweet. There's only one bathroom I believe. We didn't use it during this visit so I can't comment on its cleanliness. The food was great, we really enjoyed our impromptu brunch at this restaurant and we'd love to go back again. I highly recommend visiting!
My friend brought me here for brunch, it was fantastic, super fun, hopping with activity and great food and atmosphere. Servers were so fast and friendly. Fun outdoor seating also. Great menu...check out this little gem in the LES
